Cameron Highlands is the primary source of fresh cut sunflowers in Malaysia. Sunflowers are occasionally imported to meet seasonal demand spikes or to fill the void left by a temporary decline in output from local growers.

 

Sunflower is one of the tallest fresh cut flowers commercially available. Its long stem provides florists the flexibility to use sunflower for bouquets of diverse sizes.

With each additional sunflower in the arrangement, the size of the bouquet grows dramatically. A single-stalk sunflower bouquet is approximately the same size as an A4 piece of paper, a three-stalk bouquet is often larger than an A3 piece of paper, and a five-stalk bouquet may be larger than two individual A3 papers put together.

 

If you plan to arrange your own delivery of sunflower bouquet, please ensure that the transporter's vehicle has sufficient space to carry the bouquet. Typically, motorcycle saddle bags are not big enough to hold a bouquet of three or more sunflower stalks.
